Residential proxy checkers, demos and evaluation routes

Test the actual required product. A live own-visit demo, manual IP lookup, free API allowance and illustrative example establish different things.

PUBLIC TESTS AND EVALUATION RESOURCES

A residential IP needs context.

Keep the exact IP and timestamp fixed when comparing providers. Then compare a permitted residential proxy exit with a legitimate home connection and a shared corporate exit. Retain network type and provider fields separately from risk.

Links open the provider or project’s own site. This directory does not embed their checkers or receive their results. A browser observation, an IP classification and an account-based evaluation answer different questions.

Find the right test

Choose a resource by the evidence it exposes. Product evaluations for the full shortlist remain below.

7 of 7 resources

01 / ShieldLabs

ShieldLabs Anonymity Checker

Live browser/session test

Inspect your own visit, connection masking and device/network context.

Output
Risk score, identifiers and network signals when the check completes.
Access and limits
Public checker. A timed-out check has no verdict; use Check again to retry. Integrated evaluation uses Start Free.
Evaluation idea
Compare a regular browser visit with one permitted change, such as a private window or an authorized VPN connection.

02 / Fingerprint

Fingerprint VPN detection demo

Live browser/session demo

Inspect how the current browser event is assessed for VPN-related signals.

Output
Device/event context and VPN detection from the demo workflow.
Access and limits
Public demo; full Smart Signals and API access depend on the chosen plan or trial.
Evaluation idea
Use your own browser and compare the same test on your regular connection and an authorized VPN.

03 / ipgeolocation.io

ipgeolocation.io real-time detection

Live browser/network demo

Inspect the vendor’s separate client-side live detection workflow.

Output
VPN/proxy scores, confidence and IP/network observations exposed by the demo.
Access and limits
Public demonstration; integrated use needs a paid plan, with a trial request available.
Evaluation idea
Run the current-browser test and compare its scope with the documented IP Security response.

04 / proxycheck.io

proxycheck.io single lookup

IP/network lookup

Inspect the current address through the single-IP web interface.

Output
Network/location information, classifications and available risk or confidence fields.
Access and limits
Public lookup with limits. API query allowances and plan conditions apply separately.
Evaluation idea
Use your own address or an address you are authorized to test, then record the timestamp and complete result.

05 / IPQualityScore

IPQualityScore proxy and VPN test

IP/network lookup

Inspect an IP-level proxy/VPN and fraud-risk lookup.

Output
IP lookup result when the provider allows the test to complete.
Access and limits
Public tool route; automated-browser access can be blocked. A blocked page is not a negative proxy result.
Evaluation idea
Open in a normal browser and use only your own or permitted test IP. Confirm the result before comparing scores.

06 / IPinfo

IPinfo current IP lookup

IP/network information

Read the network and location context for the current address.

Output
The address, ASN/network/location and any fields exposed by this public lookup.
Access and limits
Public page. Displayed web fields do not establish that every field is included in the free Lite API.
Evaluation idea
Record the network and date, then compare the documented Core or Max entitlement for your intended API call.

07 / proxycheck.io

proxycheck.io v3 test console

Response simulator, not a live detection test

Inspect dummy responses and status codes while building a v3 adapter.

Output
Simulated examples of the documented response and error contract.
Access and limits
Public documentation console. Its samples do not query the live API and consume no daily queries.
Evaluation idea
Exercise parsing and error handling. Keep these fixtures separate from the live single-IP lookup when evaluating detection.

Keep the comparison repeatable

  1. Define the protected action and use only your own or authorized data.
  2. Record the provider, timestamp, assessed entity, field definitions and scale.
  3. Change one permitted condition and repeat the same action.
  4. Include legitimate controls and keep unavailable fields distinct from negative findings.
  5. Evaluate the supported integration and account access before applying the result to customers.

Product access and full-shortlist evaluations

These are the existing vendor routes and their recorded access conditions. A trial request, product walkthrough or documentation page is not another public checker.

What an evaluation can establish

A browser demo shows an observed visit. A manual checker looks up a permitted IP. An API trial tests the entitled response and integration. Database samples establish format, while production coverage requires the appropriate licensed data.

Evaluation routes and their scope, checked October 21, 2026.
ToolRouteAccess and scope
ShieldLabsLive demo and Start FreeOpen the demo to inspect your own permitted visit. Use the supported integration to evaluate controlled sessions and account relationships.
SpurCommunity plan and product documentationCommunity includes Monocle assessments and manual lookups; select a plan with Context API calls for automated IP enrichment.
IPinfoLite access and Max plan selectionUse Lite to inspect basic country/ASN integration. Select Max or arrange the appropriate residential dataset access to test proxy-provider and recency fields.
IPQualityScorePublic IP lookup and API documentationTest permitted IP addresses in the public checker, then confirm an API plan and the exact settings used in your integration.
DataDomeAssisted product demoRequest an evaluation for the required traffic surface and volume. Confirm the selected module and integration before interpreting a result.
FingerprintLive device demo and trialInspect your own permitted device result in the demo. Use an entitled trial or plan to test the exact residential-proxy signal.
CastleFree shared API creditSelect the free plan to evaluate the required endpoint. Treat 5,000 IP lookups and 1,000 Risk/Filter calls as alternatives, not two cumulative quotas.
SEONIllustrative demo and trial requestUse the article’s predefined example to understand the presentation. Request product access for a real test of permitted visits and the residential feature.
MaxMindDatabase evaluation and licensing inquiryUse official field documentation and arrange the appropriate sample or licensed access. Do not use GeoLite as a substitute for residential coverage.
IP2LocationSample data, trial and licensing routeReview edition-specific samples and the trial route, then confirm that the permitted evaluation contains the required residential fields.

Use the same permitted cases

  1. Record the known network and account conditions.
  2. Separate network ownership, proxy observations and abuse findings.
  3. Include legitimate shared networks and authorized proxy sessions.
  4. Inspect missing data, field entitlement, timing and observation windows.
  5. Measure the application outcome and complete cost.

Read the evaluation protocol and buying checklist.

FAQ

Does a residential IP address establish that the visitor is genuine?

No. An address can belong to a residential ISP and still be used as a proxy exit. Compare available proxy-provider and recency fields with device and account activity, while retaining legitimate shared-network controls.

Does this directory collect my checker result?

No. The cards and links are static HTML, and JavaScript only filters this directory. Each linked provider controls collection, results, retention and access on its own site.

Are public demos, sandboxes and product trials equivalent?

No. A public demo exposes a limited interaction. A sandbox exercises documented test behavior, while an account-based or assisted trial evaluates a particular product scope. Keep each output and its access conditions attached.

Can scores from different checkers be compared directly?

Only when their assessed entity, definitions and scales are comparable. Record the individual fields and missing results. A network reputation score, identification confidence and account-risk verdict are different measures.
